Explorer Bar

How can I remove items from the Explorer Bar? For example, with I open
Internet Explorer and click on the VIEW tab, I will get a list like this:

Toolbars --->
Status Bar
Explorer Bars --->

Under Explorer Bars I have listed:

Search
Favorites
History
My Search Bar (quick View)
Elite Sidebar
Folders

I want to delete the "My Search Bar" and the "Elite Side Bar" I have turned
them off, but just knowing they are there annoys me. I have deleted the
associated programs, but can't seem to remove those items from the Explorer
Bar sub-menu

Thanks

those two items, "My Search Bar" and "Elite Side Bar" are browser hijackers.
get spybot S&D http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html and Ad-Aware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
If you have those two spyware apps, your PC is most likely overwhelmed with
these invasive apps.
After running these two cleanup tools your PC will usually be much faster,
Also check the startup list, msconfig at the run command line. In most cases
you can uncheck all of the running apps except your antiviral.

Yes I know that. Like I said, I have completely removed the programs
associated with the Explorer Bar items, however when I did that it still left
the entery for those programs in my explorer bar. I just want to know how to
take those out of the explorer bar entery. That actual programs and all
associated programs are long gone.

From Tools menu, click "Scan for Search bars"

Follow-up with HijackThis (in a Security forum) to make sure your system is spyware free.
