explore file structure

I am the only 'account' on my computer, and yet there are three paths to 'My
Pictures'. One goes via Desktop\my documents\my pictures. one via
Windows\Documents and Settings\ David\my documentts\my pictures, and the
third via My Computer\ david's documents\my pictures.
How can I reduce this to one path, and how can I simplify the 'Explore' file
structure generally?

They are all the same and this is the "way" XP handles this. XP is a
multi-user syste and will create a folder under '\Document and Settings" for
each user account created. Each time a user "logs" on (or starts the PC),
the user account will then place alias path names like "Desktop\my
documents\my pictures" or "My Computer\ david's documents\my pictures".
