Expanding Windows

Is there an option in IE 6 where I could after selecting a
hyperlink have the page load full instead of a condensed
version.

f you mean that "Open in a new window" opens smaller windows...
Stretch that small second window out to full size- don't use maximize.
Close the first (parent) window, then close that second window.
