Expand Folders

I dragged a folder into another folder. Now I can't see the subfolder. The
folder has a + icon by it and when I click on the icon, it turns to a - icon.
But the subfolder doesn't appear below the folder. What am I doing wrong?

Hard to say without any configuration information.
If you didn't do anything in between you can choose Edit-> Undo
