existing desktop icons are moved when saving to the desktop

When I save files to my desktop, sometime they are placed
on top of existing files/icons. On a refresh the original
icons are moved elsewhwere on the desktop (next available
location). I do not have active desktop running nor do i
have any kind of autoarrange settings on.

Can't help with the problem, but maybe part of the symptom..

This will let you take a snapshot of your desktop icons
and restore their positions when they get shuffled
