EXIF or IPTC tags to HTML comments?

Just wondering if there are any tools out there that can use the exif or
IPTC tags to create comments for html pages from jpg photos?

This would certainly save a lot of time when coding webpages and also allow
your own photos to be indexed fairly easily.

http://www.irfanview.com/ allows you to embed EXIF and IPTC tags which is
good, but it doesn't allow you to do it easily, ie, put up a text box with a
preview of each photo so that you can easily add comments while looking at
your photos.

Try going to http://www.masmol.com/gm/ and download the "LeVeL BBS HTML
Gallery Maker 3.7b (2.6 Mb)" package. Open up the .zip file, and extract
the jce.exe program. jce = Jpeg Comment Editor. It does what I think you
said you wanted to do. :)

Maybe you should try the free Mapivi (http://mapivi.de.vu)?
It can add, edit and remove comments, EXIX and IPTC infos of JPEG
pictures and is able to generate webpages (galleries) including these
informations.
There is also a comfortable and fast search dialog to search for
picture meta informations.
Mapivi runs at least on Windows (but installation is still a bit
complicated here), UNIX, and Mac OS X.

Bye,
Martin
