.exe problems

when i open a particular .exe (eg. Macromedia Flash MX) it will not open. Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this problem?

however ive tried reinstalling flash mx over and over again, and still it makes no differenc
i think it may have something to do with a problem with the regserver? ive also tried to install a new version of msn messenger where the 'send error' dialog box (msiexec.exe). so i think ive got a problem with msiexec.ex
any sugggestions?

I guess I would start w/Macromedia support for the FlashMX issue.
