.exe problem in Windows 2000 - error message

Marcia

A week or so ago I found I suddenly couldn't run two of my
applications: Adobe InDesign 1.0 and Adobe Acrobat 5.0.
When I try to load either Adobe InDesign, or Adobe Acrobat
5.0 (both of which I have recently uninstalled and
installed, to no effect) I get an error message:

"Acrobat.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will have to restart the program." or
"InDesign.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will have to restart the program."

I've just bought the latest version of Norton Anti-Virus
and done a complete scan. No viruses found.

Any thoughts?

Marcia
