EXE File Association

The file association for .exe files in the folder options
menu has accidentally been replaced by one with the
extenstion .exe, but which does not execute applications.
How can I fix this?

Try deleting the .exe association from the folder options.
I don't have any association for an .exe files in my
folder option and my applications work fine.
