Exclusive access

I keep getting an error message that says i can't save
because i don't have exclusive access to the database. The
database is not being shared and there are not multiple
instances open. Help

Open access
Do File Open
A dialog box appears titled "Open"
In the lower left hand corner click on the arrow and
choose "open Exclusive"
choose your database
