Exchange

Can I set up my MSOffice Outlook 2003 to grab my emails off of my
outlook exchange account?
I am just beginning thought on this and don't know where to start or
what is possible.
I cannot remotely access my company's network so must use Exchange to
get email, but I would like to get my emails into Outlook for
manipulation without having to go to exchange and forward them to my
personal Outlook account one by one because of the high number of emails
I receive.
I hope I am being clear when describing what I would like to do. Any
help you can give me or direction to some help will be much appreciated.
Thank you
Joanne

Let me clarify, you are trying to pull your work email which is an Exchange
environment to your home PC using Outlook? Or you have a work laptop that
you've brought home and want to pull email to from work?
If you don't have remote access to the network, you'll need to ask your
business IT staff to make this allowance for you to connect using whatever
method they have created for this purpose.
If this isn't what you're requesting, please let me know.

We need a little more detail on where or how you access the exchange server.

If by you mean using a web browser from home, do you use an http:// or
https:// address?

Thank you for your interest.

When I go to my exchange account the address starts with
https://mail.thedomainname.
I access it thru my laptop - as a salesman I am not often in the office
and do not have remote privileges to the office servers, so this is the
only method to get my work email.
I hope this is enough info for you, if not please let me know and I will
provide whatever you need.
Thanks
Joanne

You've got the picture but IT staff will not allow me remote access for
whatever reason - none of the sales staff have remote access, so that is
why I would like to get my email of the exchange server and onto my
laptop.

That's what we needed to know - and unfortunately, since it begins with
https, outlook can't access it using HTTP protocol.

The best thing for you to do is to ask the administrator if IMAP or if it's
Exchange 2003, RPC over HTTP is available
