Exchange server side rules

Junk E-Mail Options, Protection is set to High.

All of my junk messages are coming through with a SCL of 9 (There is a
custom filter), but none of them are going to the Junk E-Mail folder.

I thought this was a server-side rule?

Can anyone explain, and also tell me what I need to do?

No, the Junk Email filter in Outlook is client side. Verify that you don't
have your own address listed as a Safe Recipient.

Thank you

Aside from the question about why my junk mail filter isn't working, how do
server-side rules work?

If I put a Subject rule in, will that be a server-side rule? When and how
are server-side rules applied?

sorry, a renewed search with better judgement found several
of the many simple explanations, suitable for my level of knowledge...

Actually, it was more complex than I thought. Although you can apply
'server side rules' in Outlook, there is no way to enable server-side
junk mail handling.

To turn on server-side junk mail handling, using Exchange junk mail
filter, you have to turn on junk mail handling in OWA.

There is a suggestion that junk mail handling in OWA should be turned
on by default when you first connect using Outlook, but that doesn't
seem to be the case here.

Does anyone know any way to directly turn on junk mail handling in
OWA, other than logging in to each e-mail account?
