exchange for multiple domains?

is this possible and can someone direct me to a whitepaper or best practice?

i have an AD domain lets say its called domain1.com
exchange is also running on the only DC and handling mail for domain1.com
i want the same installation to also handle mail for a new domain,
domain2.com
can i do it? what AD changes will i have to make and how do i configure
exchange?
