Exchange Extensions plug-in - Do I need it (enabled)?

Under Tools -> Options -> Other -> Advanced -> Add-Ins Manager is listed
the following extension:

Exchange Extensions property pages

If I do not use Exchange and have no Exchange-based e-mail accounts
defined (i.e., they are all POP3 or HTTP e-mail accounts), do I need to
leave this extension enabled?

I tried hunting around Microsoft for a description specific to this
extension but didn't find it (and I don't want to learn Exchange just to
figure out why it needs this).

Thanks. I'll try with it disabled for awhile and hope that OL2002
continues to function okay.
