Exchange 5.5 on Server 2000 Without Active Directory

I have Exchange 5.5 running on NT4. I like to upgrade NT4 to WIndows 2000
Server
( Without active Directory) Is it possible to run Exchange 5.5 on 2000 server?

Works great here. (Exchange 5.5 SP4 on Windows 2000 SP4. Exchange is a
member server.).
