upon trying to import an excel97-03 worksheet into MS Office Home and Student
2007 I get the following error message, An error has occured in MS excel
97-03 translator while getting the contents of the file system. The ms
ex97-03 file "C:\Users\Mark\Documents\file name.xls" has no named ranges.
Use MS Exc 97-03 to name the range of data you want to import.

? How do I do this??

I am new to using this software, and to getting help thru the help screens
or online. The Help application kept referring to MS Office Business Contact
Manager ... which I don't think I have ... or even need. I simply want to
import an Excel 97-03 spreadsheet of contacts (names, addresses, phones) into
plain old Outlook Contacts (not Business Contact Manager) ... can this be
done??
thanks.

Did you look up in Excel Help on Named Ranges?
