Excel2003 charts pasted into PowerPoint2003 loose their fonts

I have created an Office Excel2003 chart as a file. I then copy the
chart object into a PowerPoint2003 file slide.

When I paste this chart as a chart (not as an image - so that I can
edit it as an embeded object later) then I find the fonts (Arial) are
distorted badly (stretched, etc - but they are the same original
font).

Note, (1) I have tried a few fonts - and this does not make a
difference,
(2) I do not adjust the chart object width or height - so the
distortion is not occuring through that method.
(3) I can double click on the embeded chart object then the fonts
correct themselves. When I click away from the chart - the embeded
chart remains "corrected".

When I do this paste on a different PC - then I find it works ok. Can
anyone tell me what setting might be causing this problem?

Many thanks

No - the video drivers upgrade suggestion didn't sound right and I
didn't investigate that avenue in the end.

The solution seems to have come down to the video resolution of the
login that I used to embed the chart object. I was using a laptop to
remote-desktop into the user that does this action - and without
consciously recognizing it - the laptop was changing the resolution of
the login each time I logged in.

I have now changed the resolution (through a different PC logging in)
and will avoid logging in using a low res laptop in future.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway
