Excel2000 wont run in Excel2003

Incompatible macros in Excel2003 from Excel2000

When opening a excel macro sheet in Excel2003 the machine
hangs.
The macros work well with Excel2000.
Noted when opening a referenced sheet in Excel2003 then
closing I am prompted to save in the newer 2003 format.
There are many references and sheets to convert. Is there
a tool to convert the old 2000 sheets to 2003

Fixed
Turned out to be 1 of the over 100 files being accessed
(linked) was not to Excel2003s liking.
After rebuilding the file - all Ok. Why Excel2000 used
the file where Excel2003 did not is unknown.
Found the corrupt file by monitoring the open files on the
W2k server manager.

Possibly a bit of vba that is ok in 2000 not in 2003?
I've had a few issues with this
