Please advise whether Excel 97 (which I had on my old ME PC) will run on XP.
Ideally, I'd like to move to Excel 2002 but it seems that the (affordable!)
Excel Upgrade Version (97 to 2002) isn't suitable for XP. True or false?

I'd appreciate advice on these matters as I need Excel on my XP machine and
I had hoped I wouldn't have to purchase the whole Office 2000 suite.

I have read many times that anything after '95 or version 6 will work.
Won't hurt to look at Thorsten's website link.
