Excel worksheets "ghost" scrolling

My system is Windows XP Home SP2 Small Business Edition
Current with critical Windows updates.
Windows Firewall is on.
Have McAfee VirusScan... no viruses found
Have run Adaware and SpyBot S&D... nothing unusual detected
Ran detect and repair with Small Business CD.
Windows Excel macro security is set to Low in order to run my spreadsheet
macros.

The problem... Excel spreadsheets randomly scroll up and down with no
interaction on my part. I have watched Task Manager processes to attempt to
determine what is running , but have had no luck. Something is running to
cause the spreadsheets to jump around, but I am at a loss to know what. Does
anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Any help would be much
appreciated. Thanks.

Curt;
You mean Microsoft Office Small Business Edition since there is no
such thing as "Windows XP Home SP2 Small Business Edition"?
Since this is a Windows XP newsgroup, you should take this to an Excel
or Office newsgroup:

Mr. Jones, The problem also occurs at Web sites and open Word documents and
yes, I did mean Office Small Business. But, I think you knew what I meant as
did most others. The symptoms appear to be more a security issue than Excel.
Rather than post it in multiple newsgroups, I thought it better to post it
in the one where it seems most appropriate. So that is what I did. But,
that's just my opinion. You are welcome not to share it. Have a nice
evening.

Curt;
As for knowing what was meant, it can be difficult to know what is
meant without verifying especially since the information given is
confusing.
Often similar posts are misdiagnosed for similar errors simply because
someone assumes what was meant...often a bad idea and a waste of time.
Additionally the absence of the other information stating it also
occurs on websites etc was an omission that led to incomplete.

It does not sound like virus related especially since you have
recently ran an updated scan?
Follow the yellow section again to verify:

Step 12 on that can also help if it is one of the processes.

Mr. Jones, that's fair. I re-read my last post and it sounded kind of pissy.
Moral... don't write something when you are tired. I had forgotten that it
was happening on Web sites when I originally posted. But you are right, that
information was an omission even though it was inadvertent. At this point, I
am starting to suspect the problem may be more simple than a virus. I
swapped out my mouse and am now testing with an old one. So far, I haven't
noticed any random scrolling. So, it may not have been a security issue
after all. But, I thank you for your time.

Curt;
The mouse is so obvious, I don't know how I missed it.
Glad to hear you fixed it.
