excel web query not locating my server

After creating and running my query file, excel is unable to "locate the
internet server". This is for any website I try to connect to, and my
browser/modem are working fine. When I created the file, the sites displayed
in the query manager. Is there a setting I'm missing? Any help is appreciated,

this NG answers questions about working with external data in MS Access
relational database software. if you're using Excel, not Access, suggest you
post your question to an Excel newsgroup.
