Excel to Word

My cousin cannot open a file on Excel and would like me
to convert it to plain text that he can read. This file
has hidden information in the cells (it is a family tree,
only the names in cells, birth, married, etc. hidden). Is
it possible to move it to Word or some other program he
can open?

Why can't he open it? If he doesn't have excel then download the free excel
viewer off the office website. If you put it in plain text format, you will
lose all the formatting, formulas, cells, hidden stuff.

Try File/Save As and under save as type, choose OS/2 or MSDOS text. It
is way down at the bottom of the drop down list.
