I am trying to use Excel to achieve the job as follows:

1. A shared workbook for multiple entries at the same time.
2. Each user is responsible for some data in the workbook, n
overlapping .
3. Users are not able to view others' field/input to avoid mis-entrie

4. Some parts of the sheets is protected.
5. A summary sheet to view all entries.

I thought about it and had 2 ideas:

1. Assign individual worksheet for each user. use "CASE" in VBA t
display (visible/invisible of sheet properties) the right sheet fo
right user. But in this way I need to use a lot of work sheets

2. Use only one worksheet, hide/unhide rows or columns wit
protrection for different users. But the protect/unprotect comman
cannot be used under shared condition. I am working on Excel 2000, thu
cannot use the advanced protect options as we can do in Excel XP.

Could anyone comment on my ideas? or any better solutions?

Thanks a lot
