excel shortcuts not opening properly

Excel Shortcuts do not open properly.

When you click on excel worksheet short cut or a attachment in outlook mail,
Excel opens but on the spreedsheet.

Tools / Options... General Tab, UNcheck "Ignore other applications"

Sometimes one of these works when you're having trouble with double clicking on
the file in windows explorer:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets some of the windows registry to
excel's factory defaults.

Maybe one of these will work for you.

Did you try it a second time. Lots (but not all) have said that it works for
them.

Thank you for your suggestion since I to learn from it.
Solution came for by renaming the user profil and creating another.
