If you haven't saved the workbook, you could save the current version as a new
name. Reopen the original worksheet and copy/move it into the current workbook.
Depending on formulas/links, you may have some fixing to do, though.
No, deletion is permanent - that's why you get a warning message.
If you have not saved the file with its original name, though, you can
use File | Save As to save the current file with a different name, and
then the original one can be opened (with the sheet still in it).
