Hi all,

I am having a problem in Excel with a couple of users in my firm. The
problem is when they open a file or just open the program it reboots the
computer. Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like your Windows box is BSOD and auto-rebooting
Check your event viewer, as well as make sure you are running the
latest SP for Windows and Office. I had a similar problem with Office
2k3 vanilla on WinXP SP2. Installed SP1 for Office 2k3 and problem
sorted.

The error that appears before reboot is
*STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE4C2B000, 0x00000000, 0x8045F843, 0x00000001)

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

ideas!!!

OK, a bsod can not be caused directly by Excel. Excel doesn't have
enough privaleges. So most likely it will be a driver issue. I would
guess printer driver. Seen this before with HP printer drivers. If you
NEED the printer, then install something like a PDFCreator
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator) and set that to be default
and then manually change the printer when you print.
