You could do this using AutoCorrect.

For example: xx<enter> changes to Biff

Tools>AutoCorrect Options
Replace: xx
With: Biff
Add
OK

Type xx hit ENTER it changes to Biff

You'll want to use a key or combination of keys that you are unlikely to use
in a normal situation.
