Excel opens excel workbook called PERSONAL

Hi,

Everytime I open an existing Excel Document such as 2003
Sale Analysis or any other Excel document, a second Excel
Workbook also opens called PERSONAL. Also, when I double
click the Excel icon directly, the workbook name is also
PERSONAL rather than Book 1. Can anyone tell me how to
change this? I would like for this PERSONAL file to go
away.

Thanks,

Chuck

You can hide your Personal.xls by going to Window > Hide.
It will still open but you won't see it.

You don't really want it to *go away*, you just want to hide it.
Personal.xls is where xl will keep any of your macro's.
To stop it from being displayed;
(With Personal.xls visible)
"Window->Hide"
It will always be there but in the background.

Hi Chuck!

If you've got it, don't flaunt it!

Use Window > Hide
When you next close Excel, you will be asked if you want to save
changes to your Personal.xls. Accept the offer and the Personal.xls
will always be there to hold your own custom functions and
subroutines.
