Excel on XP home edition

On our old computer we had excel files that we want to
transfer to our new computer but XP Home Edition does
seem to have excel. Have I missed something? Or is
there a download I can use to get excel on to our new
computer?

You need to install Excel from an Excel or Office CD. Excel often comes on
systems that you buy with all of the software preinstalled. It is an extra
program, one of the Office applications, but is not a part of Windows. Your
old computer included Excel and apparently your new one does not.
