Excel needs CD to start

When I start Excel (XP Small Business) it loads the Installer and looks for the Small Business CD and says it can't find the required file to start. Gives error 1706 which turns into a fatal error. It seems to be looking for sberet.msi?? I purchased the computer from Dell with the software pre-loaded and don't have the CD. How do I get Excel working again?

Don't know of the exact issue, but I would be straight onto Dell for a
solution. If they supplied you the machine pre-loaded, they are contracted
to sort the issues.

It sounds to me like the Office installation was set to have something 'load
on first use' or 'run from CD'. These are all options at install of later
versions of Office.
