Excel - error opening spreadsheet -Small Business Edition install

Problem:
I try to open Excel or any spreadsheet.

It tries to open up an installer to install Small Business Edition 2003

I cannot open any of my spreadsheets now.

Please HELP!!!

I attempted to open someone else's file a few days ago and I had this error.

Apparently it changed something so that I cannot open up speadsheets that I
have had for years.

I don't consider myself to be a Microsoft Tech wizard, but I can follow
detailed instructions.

Please help.

Nick,
I am sorry I did not clarify something:
I do not have Small Business Edition, nor do I want to pay for it. If the
solution is that I have to buy it to get Excel to work, then that is an
unacceptible solution! If Microsoft will provide it free, I might consider
that as a work around.

I originally had this clarification, but the session timed-out because I
took too long to type it. I had to re-type this a second time and left that
little fact out of the second rendition. Another source of frustration. Set
the timeout to be 4 hours for the discussion group entry.

I still need help here! I do have full Admin priv's.

When it asks to install ensure you have the installation disk in the drive
and you are logged on as an administrator
