excel menus disappear when switching between desktop workspaces

Hi,

On a fully updated Windows XP Pro, when I have Excel window opened on a
desktop workspace, if I switch to another workspace and back, the excel
application windows doesn't show any menus at all. The menus just simply
disappear. The excel application is needed to be restarted to get the
menus back. Anybody know where the problem could be or how to get rid of
this? I am using MS Office 2003 (also updated).
