Excel mac office 98

I am running Excel 98 for mac and for some reason the
number pad is acting like the arrow keys (ie the number 2
on numberpad is acting like down arrow) How do I fix this ??

Don't know about Macs but on a PC that would mean the numlock key is in off
position

on a PC i would assume you have hit the NUMLOCK key?
