Excel Locks Up

I'm running Windows 98 and office 2000. All of a sudden, when I try t
open excel, the computer locks up. I tried un-installing an
re-installing office but that didn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks

I might suggest looking first at the corrupt toolbar (XLB) file issue. I've
found that to the problem fairly often.
