I am running a split database with users running the front-end on thei
local machines and the back-end on a shared drive.

Each front-end has a link to a single Excel spreadsheet.

When the second user opens the main form, where fields pulling dat
from the Excel spreadsheet are located, the following error messag
appears: "The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file "M
LINKED EXCEL FILE NAME". It is already opened exclusively by anothe
user, or you need permission to view its data."

What do I need to do to allow multiple users to access the form that i
pulling data from?

Thanks

open the spreadsheet in Excel, go to Tools, Share Workbook

Thank you for the tip however when I tried it I still received the sam
error message.

Any other ideas?

Thank you!
