Excel Link

I have a spreadsheet that has several different groups of information on it
(i.e., one for each Item # in Word). They are all on one sheet so that all
the columns line up when linked into Word.

In Excel, if I add or delete a line to a portion of the data, none of the
links in word (after the change) are able to update the new position - so
everything is off one line. Is there a way around this - other than
re-copying and re-pasting the link?

TIA

Which version of Word are we dealing with?

I gather from your problem description that you're selecting, copying and
paste-linking the information a block at a time (by item)? So the shift you're
referring to is that entries are appearing under the incorrect item?

Have you specifically used Excel range names to identify each "block", and
used those range names in your links? That will be most "automatic", once you
get it set up.
