Excel in Mac issues

How can u change how a cell is highlighted in Excel on a Mac. Whateve
cell u are in has a crappy aqua shading which is gard to see, can yo
change the definition of it

System Preferences > General > Highlight Color

no highlight colour there - sorry - any other ideas

You mentioned acqua shading. I assumed you're using Excel X for the
Macintosh on OS X. If this is the case, my understanding is that you
can't change this setting within Excel. You have to change it within
System Preferences > General > Highlight Color.

selected row and column:
