I am trying to keep the number 0 in front of my other numbers it keeps
disappearing
 
If it is 3 digit numbers

Format>Cells>Custom format >Type> 000

and then try typing the numbers

Format, cells, custom format, type as many 0 as the total numbers including
the 0

i.e. 000123 you enter 000000

You really need to tell us more about your data. Is it always a given
number of characters or is that variable. The formatting tricks that have
been recommended work for numbers of the same length. To handle variable
length number highlight your input range and choose Format, Cells, Number
tab, Text. Then enter the numbers.
