Excel file size

I have a new staff member producing an Excel spreadsheet
for me. A previous person produced the file at round 200-
300kb, the same file by the new person is coming in at
around 2.75mb. Has anyone any idea on what may be causing
the blow out?

Probable cause is excessive used range.
