I have a spreadsheet wherein I need to extract partial data from every cell in one column and move it to a separate column.

Ex:
Existing column B: Switch Housing CoverUSE 0164290

I need it to be in two columns:
Column B: Switch Housing Cover
Column C: USE 0164290

I have had a programmer working on this and he cannot seem to get it right.
Any help appreciated.

Ciao,

Can you provide more details of other cell contents? Examples? Any similarities or patterns in all the data? There are a couple of ways to do it in Excel but there needs to be some consistency in the data.

One option is "Text To Columns" . There's also another way to count either from the right or the left "x" number of characters and take everything from that point.

Kind of confusing and I'd need to see a larger sample of the data to see if it would work for you.
