Excel Error

HI everyone,

Wonder if anyone can put some light on this matter, I have a network of 89
pc's with all running office, we have started to get a constant error when
users open up excel files off the server its as follows.

Faulting application excel.exe, version 11.0.5606,0, stamp 3f39ff9d,
Faulting module mso.dll, version 11.0.5606.0, stamp 3f334cce, debug? 0,
fault address 0x000368c0.

We have been wondering could the problem arise from some of the machines
have SP1 and some machines have SP2 installed.

If anyone can let us know there thought or back up my thought, it would be
appreciated.

Cheers

Certainly I would patch all machines to the same SP. After that take a look
at the *.xlb (hidden) toolbar customisation file. If you delete this Excel
will create a new one, but all customisations will be lost. Don't know why
this would suddenly start happening, but may help

I was having an application error every time exiting Excel after performing a
"save as". Deleting the *.xlb file fixed it. I was afraid I was going to
have to re-image the PC - reinstalling Excel did not help whatsoever and it
was already on the latest SP. I'm glad I found this post. Thanks BIG TIME!
