Excel embedded object

I have created an excel calculation table which needs to be embedded into a
Word doc. The table is one 1 page, but is basically a full landscape-sized
page of text to be entered into Word - maybe 30 columns x 20 rows approx -
Times Roman 10. This table will have data entered onto it, being accessed
from within Word (it is an empty template to be completed each time it is
used.)

In Excel, the page size has been set up exactly the same size for margins
etc as the Word doc.

When I first copy and paste special the area of the cells required from the
spreadsheet to the word doc, the size of the embedded object is correct, and
all columns on the right can be seen.

As soon as I double-click on the object to enter in data for the
calculations, then click out of to access the rest of the word doc, the size
of the embedded object changes to a smaller sized box, which is not showing
the last 3 columns on the right side. When I attempt to resize the object
again, it quickly flashes to the correct size and back again to the 'bad'
size within 1/2 second.

Any ideas on why this is happening, and how to get around it? This only
happens for this particular embedded spreadsheet selection, others (smaller)
work OK and have no dramas. Word 2000.

TIA,

Hi,

Found the answer - word converts the embedded object to WMF format which has
a max height/width. If object exceeds the size it is cropped in Word. To
get around it, I'll need to adjust the size in Excel to be smaller, or paste
special - RTF or unformatted text option.

Cheers,
