Excel Cell border formating.

When I try to set cell borders all I can get is a fine black border. The
line width, style and color functions do not work at all.

Help!

Hi Bill

I take it that you do select the area you want bordered, and then click on
Format|Cells|Borders? If you do, you should be able to select any type and
weight border that you like.

Found the problem myself. The item selection sequence is critical! One
must choose line width/style then color and then last you can choose which
cell border (top, bottom, side etc.) to use/modify!

If you choose which cell sides first the other two items do not work!
