Excel application cannot access SSAS cube over MOSS 2007 over inte

Scenario:
I need to make an excel pivot table connected to SSAS 2005 and put it on a
sharepoint library to be accessed by persons across the globe. Certain
persons may have Excel 2003 or Excel 2007.

Components for the solution:
Excel 2003, Excel 2007, SSAS 2005, MOSS 2007

What has been done:
1. I have made an excel 2007 pivot table and published it on MOSS library.
The data connection is via an .odc which is also published on MOSS. This
works fine through Excel Services.
2. When I made the data connection I saved it on the Data Connection library
with the settings of ‘Save Password’ and Authentication set to ‘None’.
3. I tried from a stand alone PC and login to the static IP with the
domain\user and pwd it logs in to the MOSS site fine and excel services and
the excel pivot data connection works fine.
4. I tried from a PC that is on another domain and another ISP and connect
to the static IP with the domain\user and pwd it logs in to the MOSS site
fine and excel services and the excel pivot data connection works fine.
5. all required ports for SSAS, SQL have been opened.

Problems faced
1. When a remote location (Bangalore/Mumbai) tries to open the pivottable
using Excel 2007 first, it cannot login in as domain\user and pwd. It accepts
only the user and pwd without the domain name.
2. If opens the excel file from MOSS 2007 but gives an error as “host name
not found†when we click a dropdown, but if opened using Excel services, it
works fine.
3. We got 2 main errors:
1. Errors in the OLE DB provider. An error occurred while loading the
connection dialog box component for prompting. The solution for the OLE DB
problem was given to the client to install the 9.0 driver with MSXML 6.0 etc.
That setup is already done still it is giving this error.
2. The following system error occurred. screenshots explain the errors
faced. The connection attempt failed because the connected party did not
properly respond after a period of time or established connection failed
because connected host has failed to respond.

Could you kindly guide/direct?
I'd really appreciate help on this.
