Excel Add-in not showing up

I created a C# Add-in by going through the wizard, building the project and
testing it. Everything works fine. I start writing some code to do something
when a button is clicked, built and tested it - still works.
Make some more changes and now nothing. It doesn't show up any more.

The only way I was able to get it to show up was to run the setup project
that was created as part of the Add-in wizard setup for the project.

The first time the problem occurred was when I tried debugging the project
by setting the Start-up app to Excel. That threw an exception so I didn't
test it that way again. I was still able to test it from within Excel for a
couple of more build until it just stopped working.

Now nothing works. I have no way of running or debugging the Add-In.

Any suggestions?

I found out how to get it back.

In Excel - Click Help, About and click the button for disabled items.

Did you just have to do this once or do you have to do this regularly.
If this is a continuing issue you may not have the problem solved.
