Excel 2007 Import Text file - a bug with the decimal sign "." and

J

Greetings,
In the Text Import Wizzard, step 3 "Advanced" normally allows to specify the
separators for thousands and decimals. For instance, in the UK my regional
setting is set to "," for thousands separators, and "." for decimal
separators. If I import a text file produced in France, the thousands
separator is ".", and the decimal separator is ",". The "Advanced" option
allows to make sure that Excel properly recognize those numbers.
It worked fine in Excel 2003, but in Excel 2007 IT DOES NOT SAVE MY CHANGES.
So it is impossible to properly import my numbers - OK I know that I can
change the regional settings, but it is a big pain.
I am not the only one with this issue - it appears on forums as well.
I guess this is a BUG. Does anyone know whether MS has corrected it lately?
Does anyone share the same problem?
Thanks to all,
