Hi Experts,

I know that drag 'n' drop allows cells to be pulled from one postion to
another, but is it possible to mouse click a cell making it stick to the
mouse pointer without having to continually press the mouse button, dragging
it to its new position and then dropping it? Or am I asking too much from
Excel?.

Any help welcomed.

Not possible to "stick" a cell to the mouse pointer.

How about CTRL + x to cut and arrow over to new position and hit ENTER to
paste?

No mouse involved at all.
