Excel 2002

After opening excel and clicking on a cell, I cannot do
anything further. Where ever I move the mouse it shades
and expands the other cells and doen't allow me to
release it. It's like highlighting and area to print
without ever letting the mouse pointer release to choose
other funcions.

This is usually a sign of a keyboard or mouse problem, or a sign of
insufficient resources. Clean up your hard drive:
www.theofficeexperts.com/cleanyourpc.htm and if that doesn't work, try
swapping out the mouse and/or keyboard. In particular, a wheel mouse
demonstrates this behavior when you click DOWN on the wheel.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Anne,

I have defragged, reformatted the hard drive and even
bought a brand new Excel 2002. I had Excel 2000 and it
did the same thing. I have not had a problem with the
mouse or keyoard in any other program. In fact, this
does not even happen with the spreadsheets in Micosoft
suite.

Any other ideas?
