Excel 2000 Pivot Table - too many uniques items

I have an Excel with more than 18000 lines of data and
want to create a Pivot table summarising data from it, but
I get the error "A field in your source data has more
unique items than can be used in a Pivot Table". What is
the limit, and can I avoid this error?

hi,
the limit is a combination between a number of variables
and an number lines. (2000 Products x 20000 lines) =
(200 products x 40000 lines) I suggest you clean-up the
data and only include the data in your range realy need
or group information
