Excel 2000 opens up a blank Book1 first

When I open any Excel 2000 file, it opens a blank Book1 first, any idea how
to fix it?

Try looking in your xlStart folder (May be hidden) and temporarily move the
files out and see if that fixes it. particularly if there is one in there
named book1
